A light novel is prose; a manga tells its story through comic panels. Either can be associated with an anime. The same franchise name does not prove that a particular listing is the original work. Check the publisher's label rather than judging by an illustrated cover.
Volume one of a manga is not interchangeable with volume one of a novel. Oregairu's publisher lists its prose light novel and its @ comic manga separately. Keep your reading list tied to the version you chose, and do not transfer a novel continuation recommendation to the manga automatically.
For the Oregairu light novel's first English volume, Yen Press lists digital ISBN 9781975359805 and paperback ISBN 9780316312295. These identify different formats of that volume. Match the publisher's record to the retailer listing; an ISBN is more precise than a franchise search. A retailer search link helps find candidates but does not itself confirm the edition.
Choose prose if your goal is to read that novel version, and choose the manga if you prefer its comic adaptation. Confirm the language and volume before comparing price. Sourcebook's Story versions panel separates official novel, manga and anime references so you can make that decision before leaving for a store.
